Ooooh, shiny stuff
A colleague just informed me that the open beta of WebSphere Portal v6.1 is available.

*UPDATE* September 8 - have installed and am impressed - looks very nice

Be aware that the installation creates a DB2 user ( wpdb2ins ) using the same password as that used for the portal administrator ( e.g. wpadmin ).
If the password doesn't fit with your OS guidelines e.g. complexity, minimum length etc. THE DB2 INSTALLATION WILL FAIL.
You won't know why ( for sure ) but it'll fail fairly early on.
